How does a session work?
My sessions are friendly and relaxed, my clients always find them fun! I start by photographing the little ones by themselves and then get the parents involved. I use a range of poses as well as capturing you all interacting, and having fun to get the most natural shots so even parents who don’t love being photographed tend to love the end results.
What should we bring to the session?
It's great if you can bring along some of your child's favourite toys or something that ties in with a hobbie of theirs. Anything with the child's/children's names on.
What should we wear?
Avoid black, white, stripped or clothing with a small checked design. You are welcome to bring a change of outfit or two for the children. Layering is a great way for adults to also do a quick wardrobe change.
What if my child needs a break?
Babies get hungry and need to have their nappies changed and that doesn’t always happen to a schedule. It really isn’t a problem - just make sure you have your usual stash of nappies and wipes as well as formula/pumped milk if applicable. You are, of course, welcome to breastfeed in the studio.
What if my baby/children don’t behave?
My best advice is to avoid asking children to smile, have fun and be silly with them, work with me to get natural smiles.
What if my shoot over runs?
I always allow an extra 30 mins after each session should the shoot run over.
Will you use our images?
I always try to keep my portfolio as up to date as possible, therefore I may use some for this but you can rest assured I also respect your privacy and if you do not want them uploaded, that’s absolutely fine.
Do we get to see the photos prior to delivery?
Yes, after each session, you will be shown all the images taken. I will keep and edit the best of the best and provide them on a USB stick.
Wedding and Events
How many images will we receive and do we get usage rights?
Images numbers largely depend on how many hours you opt for. You are assigned full and unrestricted usage rights to print and distribute yourselves.
Do you do group photographs?
Absolutely, the best thing is to provide a full list of the desired group shots to ensure I get everything you want.
How long after the wedding will the photographs be ready?
Your images are ready approx 8 weeks following the wedding, however this does depend on the number of hours booked. A shorter booking will mean a slightly quicker turn around, I will keep you updated throughout.
